.NET Plugin Library

Categories:
Latest version: 2004-11- 27
Description: The Morrison Schwartz Plugin library allows you to integrate plugins into your .NET application.
A plugin is a component or object whose implementation will be defined in an assembly that is not part of the application's original distribution, but is loaded dynamically at runtime and integrated seamlessly.
Features include:
- No specific interface is required of a plugin.
- Plugins may be shadow-copied, to prevent locking problems.
- Plugins may be loaded into seperate AppDomains, providing better process seperation and the ability to unload the assembly at runtime.
- File monitoring notifies your application when any of the loaded assembly files has changed, allowing for graceful handling of the change.
- Assemblies can be loaded by name, or can be loaded after dynamic discovery on the disc.

MSINC.Web.Compression

 Home Page Home Page
Categories:
Latest version: 2004-11-17
Description: Compression of ASP.NET web page output.
This reduction in the amount of data to be transferred to the client results in a decrease in network traffic and corresponding improvement in page load speed. This class supports the Deflate and GZip compression methods, which are acceptable by most web clients in common usage today.
Most browsers now support the HTTP 1.1 standard Accept-Encoding header, informing the server of which types of compression they support.
MSINC.Web.Compression works by inserting a custom HttpModule into the ASP.NET filter stream, which intercepts and compresses the page data according to the received Accept-Encoding header before it leaves the server.
Configuration allows the developer to set the default compression level and compression type, as well as define which pages or MIME types should be excluded.
