Object oriented database engine for standalone database applications.POS is built around a multi-threaded database engine optimized to reduce access to disk. The API is similar to System.Collections.Hashtable or java.util.Hashtable and does not require SQL, ODBC, JDBC or object/relational mapping.Features include:- engine is only 620KB, making it accessible for use in mobile and wireless devices and in embedded systems applications- atomic operations with error checking- individual object locking- includes utilities for checking the integrity of object stores and indexes and utilities for recovering good key, value pairs from damaged object stores and indexes
