XAP-EDG's full feature set was integrated into XAP (if premium or standard licenses) and it is no longer offered as a separate package. If you need in-memory data grid capabilities only, please contact sales@gigaspaces.com for more details on the dedicated license available.

Space Instance - a clustered runtime environment
External Clients - any runtime - including a web server or any other system - that connects to a space instance
Processor - processor shall be defined as all processors where the GigaSpaces programs are installed and/or running.
Processor for multi-core chips - for the purpose of determining the number of processor licenses required for multi-core chips, multiply the number of cores as follows:
- Sun UltraSparc T1/T2 - Multiply number of cores by 0.25, rounded up
- AMD/Intel - Multiply number of cores by 0.5, rounded up
- Azul - multiply number of cores by 0.3, rounded up
- All other multi-core servers - Multiply number of cores by 0.75, rounded up
64-bit processors - GigaSpaces does not charge a premium for 64-bit processors
