Habanero is an open source Enterprise Application Framework for .Net that provides the tools to produce an agile application from the data layer through to the front-end. Released for free under the LGPL license, it persists data to and from the database using object relational mapping (ORM), manages business objects to support a rich domain model, and generates user interfaces to display and edit the mapped data. |

Firestarter Now Supports Firebird

The Habanero development team has just added support to reverse engineer a Firebird database in Firestarter. The Habanero download contains the updated Firestarter executable, and you can get it on the Download page. Please send feedback to the Forum.
New Demo Videos

The Videos page now has an extended and updated selection of demo videos on common tasks, which we will continue to add to. The audio compression on the demo creation software is a little sketchy, but we felt that adding audio to the videos was worth the risk. We welcome any feedback or further questions in the Forum.

You can now access Habanero through Microsoft's CodePlex site, which provides Subversion access should you wish to get the latest changes ahead of release, or check in changes you have made yourself. The site is available at: www.codeplex.com/habanero.

Now supporting a manager pattern for constructing user interfaces, Habanero is even better equipped for designing one application for desktop and web release. Included with the package is a tutorial project demonstrating Visual WebGUI and WinForms together in one application. The latest version is available in Download.
