Suite of client applications for accessing Visual Studio Team Foundation Server from outside of the Visual Studio IDE.
Teamprise enables software development teams to use the source control, work item tracking, build, and reporting features of Team Foundation Server from within the Eclipse IDE, and from other operating systems, including Linux and Mac OS X.
Features include:
- Plug-in for Eclipse: allows a developer to perform source control and work item tracking operations from within the Eclipse IDE. This plug-in is also compatible with Eclipse-based IDEs, such as IBM Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software, JBoss IDE for Eclipse, MyEclipse, JBuilder, BEA Workshop for WebLogic, and more.
- Explorer client: stand-alone client application that features an Explorer-style user interface for developers not working within an IDE.
- Command-line client: suitable for scripting and non-GUI scenarios.
- Cross-platform: fully supported on Linux (and other UNIX variants) and Mac OS X, as well as Windows.
- VSTS extensibility and integration: offers support for all Team System source control operations such as Get Latest Version, Check Out, Check In, Undo, History, Compare, Shelve, Branch, etc.
- Run on any operating system that supports a Java Runtime Environment.
