Implements a standard ADO.NET Data Provider enabling developers to consume Internet resources in the same way that they would commonly access a database. The IP*Works! Data Provider eliminates the need to learn complex Internet protocol logic, instead providing an interface that every developer is familiar with.
Features include:
- Simplified data access architecture. Includes a common interface for accessing information over all supported Internet protocols.
- Familiar SQL language can be used to retrieve information using any underlying Internet technology.
- Learning Internet protocol logic not required.
Currently the IP*Works! ADO.NET Data Provider supports a subset of protocols available in the base IP*Works! framework, including RSS, POP, IMAP, SMTP, & NNTP. Additional protocol support will be included with the final release.
